How I get started with writing, scaling to 10k/mth
Read This If You're Just Lurking on Social Media
Other than crypto updates, I will be sending entrepreneurship alpha that you should possess other than crypto knowledge.
Ideally you should be holding crypto + creating your own online business.
You’ve been lurking on social media, especially on X (formerly known as Twitter), for a while now.
You’ve been reading tweets, laughing at memes, and maybe even retweeting a thing or two.
But when it comes to writing your own tweets, you freeze.
Your mind goes blank, your fingers hover over the keyboard, and then… nothing.
Sound familiar?
Start by Writing About Anything
The first step to gaining confidence in your writing is to just start. Seriously, write about anything.
Did you have a funny encounter at the coffee shop this morning?
Tweet about it.
Did you learn something new at work today?
Share that knowledge.
Did you see an inspiring quote?
Post it with your thoughts.
The point is, it doesn’t matter what you write about at first, just that you start writing.
Here’s the beauty of X: it’s a fast-paced platform.
Your tweet doesn’t have to be perfect because, honestly, it’ll get buried in the feed soon enough.
This gives you the freedom to experiment and find your voice without the pressure of permanence.
Building the Confidence to Write
Now, let’s talk about confidence.
The biggest hurdle for most people is the fear of judgment.
What if no one likes my tweet?
What if I sound stupid?
Here’s a little secret: everyone has these fears.
Even the most seasoned writers had to start somewhere, and chances are, their early work was far from perfect.
Mine sucked, lmao.
The only way to overcome this fear is to face it head-on.
Write a tweet, hit send, and then do it again tomorrow.
The more you do it, the more natural it will feel.
You’ll start to see that the world doesn’t end if your tweet isn’t a hit.
In fact, you’ll begin to realize that you’re improving with each post, and that’s where the confidence comes in.
Another trick to building confidence is to engage with others.
Comment on tweets you find interesting, join conversations, and share your thoughts.
The more you interact, the more comfortable you’ll become with expressing yourself.
What to Actually Write
So, you’ve decided to start writing. But now you’re wondering, “What do I actually write about?” Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Teach Something: Share your knowledge. Whether it’s a skill you’ve mastered, an insight from your job, or a hobby you love, there’s always something you can teach others. People love learning new things on X, and your expertise could be exactly what someone needs.
Share Your Story: Everyone has a unique story. Share yours. It could be a life lesson you’ve learned, a challenge you’ve overcome, or a simple day-in-the-life post. Personal stories resonate because they’re real and relatable.
Post a How-To: People love practical advice. If you know how to do something well, share a step-by-step guide. It could be anything from how to organize your desk to how to make a protein shake.
Ask Questions: Engage your audience by asking questions. It’s a great way to start conversations and get to know your followers. Plus, it takes some of the pressure off you.
Share Inspiration: Whether it’s a quote, a platitude, or a personal achievement, inspiration is always a good idea. Uplifting content not only boosts your confidence but also spreads positivity.
The Importance of Consistency
Remember, the goal is to write consistently.
Not every tweet will be a masterpiece, and that’s okay.
The important thing is to keep writing, keep sharing, and keep engaging.
Over time, you’ll find your voice, build your confidence, and start to see your personal brand take shape.
